Auckland/Singapore, 05 January 2026 – Aquila Clean Energy APAC (Aquila Clean Energy), a clean energy developer and IPP headquartered in Singapore, has mutually agreed with Far North Solar Farm (FNSF), a renewable energy developer based in Auckland, New Zealand, to conclude their joint venture, enabling both parties to pursue their respective strategic priorities independently.

Both companies acknowledge and value the strong partnership that was built in New Zealand and the milestones achieved together. In 2025, the joint venture successfully commissioned the Pukenui solar farm in Northland.

As part of the transition, Aquila Clean Energy has taken full ownership of five projects developed through the joint venture including the operational Pukenui solar farm and the Omeheu solar farm, which is under construction in Edgecumbe, Bay of Plenty. In addition to operationalising all solar PV projects in their existing portfolio, Aquila Clean Energy continues to remain focused on developing, constructing and operating its larger renewable energy infrastructure portfolio in New Zealand, including onshore wind energy and BESS assets.

FNSF will retain ownership of a number of other solar projects that remain in development, which include developments in Greytown, the Mackenzie basin and other parts of the South Island.
